 Worship Services begin at 10:30 am each Sunday. They are available live on Facebook and Youtube, and later for viewing. We are a Praying Church and offer prayer for all requests we receive. If you need prayer, please send Pastor Mel a Message. |  Membership is available for in person worship as well as online. Contact us with questions about membership |  Our Worship Team provides a variety of music at our worship services - some older hymns and great Praise and Worship Songs. In addition, we have a Praise Band as well. |  Rev. Melanie Wilkinson is our Pastor. She is a United Church of Christ graduate. |  We recognize and celebrate religious holidays and national events. |  Providing School Supplies to schools in need is one of our Outreach Ministries. |

 We love to celebrate and recognize important events in the lives of our congregation. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc. |  We have three Deacons who assist Pastor Mel with Pastoral Care and Worship. |  Our Praise Band consists of Lead and Bass Guitars, Percussion, Keyboard and Organ. |  We are an Annual Sponsor of Polk Pride. We are involved in the Pride Interfaith Service and Pride in the Park. |  Our Weekly Bible Study is the Empower Group. Topics change throughout the year. |  We love and church and advertise our logo on items such as mugs and T-shirts. |
 We provide events to promote fellowship to our community. We offer monthly Karaoke and Bingo. We offer other special events throughout the year. Above in Nyna, she came in 2nd place in our Crimson Hat Soirre this past February! |  We do provide electronic forms of donations on our website and at church. |  Blessing Bags are part of our Outreach Ministry - providing food items, toiletries and other items. |
Sermon "Shake Off the Dust" by Pastor Mel with song at Christ's Promise 7/7/24. Scriptures Psalms 37:2-9 and Mark 6:1-13. Jesus told the disciples to shake off the dust, but it makes you wonder if following those instructions were so easy to do. After all, we find out later that the mission they were on was not always successful and some people did not receive them well. So, can we really ‘shake the dust off our feet’?

Sermon "These Old Shoes" by Pastor Mel at Christ's Promise UCC 8/18/24. Scriptures: Leviticus 26: 9-12 and Luke 5: 36-39. We all have them in our closet: Those “go-to” shoes. They are comfortable, familiar, and we know what to expect when we walk in them. What can God tell us about these old shoes?

PASTOR MEL WILKINSON
Lead Pastor
Pastor Mel has been the pastor at Christ’s Promise since 2019. Before coming to this church, she lived in St. Petersburg, Florida where she served as Music Director at a local church and became ordained as a minister. In the first part of her ministry, she sang with Canaan Band, who traveled throughout the Southeast U.S., singing in churches and PRIDE events sharing the inclusive love of God. She recorded three CDs with Canaan Band as well as two solo CDs. Pastor Mel also leads in Morning Prayer & Praise every weekday on Facebook and YouTube, interacting with others with devotions and prayer.
RODNEY CHARLES
Music Director
Rodney has attended various church denominations throughout his life. He has played organ and sung for churches for over 50 years. He has also been a volunteer organist playing theatre pipe organ at theatres in Indianapolis, IN and in Lakeland, FL.
ASHLEY COOPER
Choir Director
Ashley Cooper has been attending CPUCC for 14 years. In that time, she has led our choir in powerful and dynamic music. Her formal training in music came from being in the band and chorus in middle school, high school and college. Her anointed and natural musical instincts are a blessing, whether singing in the Worship Band, or leading our choir.
